Decentralized drive technology ihP Decentralized power supply with integrated motion controller or with EtherCAT switch 2 ihP Decentralized power supply with integrated motion controller or with EtherCAT switch BenefitsWith the decentralized power supply, AMKmotion creates the basis for machines to be set up without switch cabinets and on an automated basis. The ihP has a three-phase connection and generates a DC bus supply from this. In addition, the ihP collects and clusters the signals for the 24V supply, STO and fieldbus. These signals are made available to the downstream drives together with the DC bus via a hybrid cable connection. The device is available in two versions: either as an EtherCAT switch or with an integrated motion control- ler. As an option, the device can be equipped with an integrated 24V supply, thereby enabling a decentralized system to be implemented without a switch cabinet. The EtherCAT fieldbus is used for communication with the drives. In the version with EtherCAT switch, star topologies can also be implemented in the EtherCAT network. In the motion controller version, movements of the connected drives can be coordinated. Focus on the three-country border region AMKmotion will be exhibiting at the trade fair all about automation in Friedrichshafen this year for the first time (5 and 6 March). The developer and manufacturer of electric drive systems will be making the most of this gathering for experts and practitioners in the region where the borders of Germany, Switzerland and Austria meet by presenting the full range of its portfolio. The highlights at stand B1-530 will include the KHY hybrid distributor and the iDT5, a synchronous servo motor with integrated inverter. AMKmotion sees itself as a long-term partner in the field of industrial mechanical engineering and plant engineering. Its portfolio includes electric drive technology, control technology and industrial automation technology. The stand will give visitors a full overview of the Kirchheim-based company’s product range, giving them the opportunity to get to know the KHY hybrid distributor, for example. The latter simplifies the combination of different signals and supply voltages from the central drive. In this way, it serves as an intelligent interface to the decentralized drive environment. The standardized interface is designed as a module, thereby enabling simple expansion of central switch cabinet devices. Safety fuses are integrated for short-circuit and overload protection. In addition, the KHY monitors the DC bus current and the decentralized drive train via an I²t counter. The switch-off response can be configured individually. Also on show in Friedrichshafen: the iDT5. This combines the iX inverter with the DT servo motor. Both are directly wired to each other and therefore quick to install. Like the individual components, the mechatronic functional unit sits in a metal housing that protects the shock- and vibration-resistant inverter and servo motor from dust and moisture in accordance with protection class IP65. Pressemitteilung 60 Jahre AMKmotion: Familienfest in Kirchheim AMKmotion lud Anfang September zu einem großen Sommerfest am Hauptsitz in Kirchheim unter Teck, um das 60. Firmenjubiläum gebührend zu zelebrieren. Die zahlreichen Gäste feierten ausgelassen bis in die Nacht. „Festplatz statt Parkplatz lautet heute die Devise“, freute sich AMKmotion-Geschäftsführer Stefan Buchner mit Blick auf das fröhliche Treiben und die lachenden Gesichter auf dem großen Festgelände am Unternehmenshauptsitz in Kirchheim. 550 Gäste kamen bei strahlendem Spätsommerwetter bei AMKmotion zusammen, um ein besonderes Ereignis zu feiern: das 60. Firmenjubiläum. Die Antriebsspezialisten hatten für ihre Mitarbeiter, deren Familien, die AMKmotion-Rentner und die Gäste vom Schwesterunternehmen Arburg ein abwechslungsreiches Programm auf die Beine gestellt: Ein großes Buffet bot allerlei lukullische Genüsse, ein Eiswagen versprach die nötige Abkühlung an diesem warmen Tag, eine Hüpfburg und das Turnier am Human-Table-Soccer, einem Riesen-Tischkicker, sorgten für jede Menge Spaß und Bewegung bei Groß und Klein. Führungen durch die Produktion gaben den Besuchern die Möglichkeit, in die Technikwelt von AMKmotion einzutauchen. 60 Jahre Innovation Apropos Technik aus Kirchheim: Die findet nicht nur im Maschinen- und Anlagenbau Verwendung, sondern auch im Rennsport: Deshalb konnten die Besucher beim Fest den elektrischen Rennboliden des Green Teams, dem Formula-Student-Team der Uni Stuttgart, genau in Augenschein nehmen. Der E-Flitzer beschleunigt in der Weltrekordzeit von 1,461 Sekunden aus dem Stand auf 100 Stundenkilometer. An Bord: speziell für diesen Einsatz abgestimmte Wechselrichter aus dem Hause AMKmotion. „Diese großartige Leistung zeigt deutlich, was mit unseren Produkten möglich ist und passt ganz hervorragend in die Reihe innovativer Antriebstechnik-Entwicklungen, die AMKmotion von Anfang an prägten“, sagt Buchner. Alles begann 1963, als Arnold Müller die Entwicklung und Produktion von Motoren aufnahm. Eine lange Reihe wegweisender Innovationen auf dem Gebiet der elektrischen Antriebs- und Steuerungstechnik sowie eine stete Weiterentwicklung des Unternehmens prägten das Wachstum in den folgenden Jahren. 1967 folgte die Serienreife der weltweit ersten stufenlos regelbaren Drehstrommotoren. 1983 brachte AMK als erstes Unternehmen die digitale Drehstrom-Antriebstechnik zur Serienreife – eine Technik, die zum Weltstandard geworden ist. „Von Anfang an haben wir unseren Kunden zur Technologieführerschaft verholfen“, fasst Buchner zusammen. „Bis heute sind unsere Lösungen genau auf die Bedürfnisse unserer Kunden zugeschnitten.“ Seit 2021 ist AMKmotion Teil der Arburg-Familie und beschäftigt 500 Mitarbeiter.
