Since the encoder cable is entirely eliminated, it requires less space for cable bushings and wiring. iSA The decentralized power supply with integrated motion controller Product advice Technical details Downloads Robust and space-saving The iSA decentralised feed simply runs directly into the machine – entirely without a control cabinet. In harsh environments, they are protected by their dustproof and water-jet-protected IP65 housing, as well as their shock and vibration resistance. Thanks to its wide voltage range, the iSA is tolerant of the applied input voltage. Motion control and energy recovery are integrated in the lightweight aluminium housing. A brake chopper with integrated brake resistor converts regenerative energy into heat. The regenerative power can be increased by means of an additional externally connected brake resistor. For highly dynamic movements, an external additional capacitor can stabilise the DC bus voltage. Cost-saving The decentralised feed with integrated motion controller relieves the higher-level controller and simplifies the fieldbus architecture. The CODESYS V3 programming platform is integrated in the iSA. This enables access to the AMKmotion function blocks, enabling efficient programming of movement sequences. The deterministic real-time behaviour on the part of RTLinux ensures stable processes. Fulfils several purposes Due to the wide-ranging functionality of the iSA, the user does not need any further modules. In this way, the 24V/3A power supply unit supplies energy to all connected components, such as ihXT inverter-integrated servo motors and other decentralised drives. For applications with functional safety (via FSoE protocol) or STO as hardware input on the device), the internal 24 VDC power supply unit must be switched off.
