Set the controller card KU- / KW-R03(P) / -R04 into flash mode

DANGER

Danger to life from touching electrical connections!

Electrical terminals and connectors carry voltages that may cause death or serious injury upon contact.

When the LEDs on the front panels are OFF, this does not indicate that the electrical terminals have been de-energized.

Steps to prevent:

  • Prior to any work on the device: Observe the 5 safety rules.
  • Measure the terminal voltages. There may be no voltage present.
  • Plug and pull connections only when there is no voltage.
  • For devices that are connected to a DC bus, or generate it yourself, you need to consider the discharge times of the dc bus capacitors mentioned in the converter documentation
  • Before commencing work, the connections must be isolated from the voltage supply at both ends! (both ends mean: AC and DC bus supply side )

If, for example, an error in selecting the flash parameters makes it impossible to access the controller cards R03 / R04, the cards need to be sent into the flash mode with the aid of a jumper. To do so, switch off the device and remove the controller cards, along with any existing optional cards.

Plug the jumper BR3 into the circuit board of the controller card.

Reinstall the controller card, switch the device on, and establish the connection to the controller card..

Under Menu 'Task''Add task' or 'Edit', deselect the automatic flash activation in the target definition field:

Siehe 'Edit task'.

Next, download the firmware onto the device

Siehe 'Select task'.

Siehe 'Menu - Run'.

After the firmware has been updated, remove the controller card again and disconnect the jumper BR3!

Reinstall the controller card.

In the ATF, under 'Edit task', select the automatic flash activation 'Auto'.
